How to Apply
Our preference is for you to apply online. It's quick
and easy, and it also expedites the processing of your
application! We do, however, still accept paper
applications if you are unable to apply via the Internet.

What do I Send?
Once you apply, be sure to follow up by sending the necessary
documents for an admission decision.
Freshman: Send SAT or ACT test scores
Lower Division Transfers: Send SAT or ACT test scores,
official high school transcript, and official transcripts from
each college you've attended.
Upper Division Transfers: Send official transcripts
from each college you’ve attended.
University Housing and Food Service
The housing program
at CSU, Chico encourages personal growth in a residential
setting and provides a climate where the living atmosphere
compliments the educational mission of the university. By
choosing to live on campus you have a great opportunity to
smoothly transition into the university, which will enhance your
college experience and help you graduate sooner. Our housing
accommodations are comfortable, affordable and convenient for
students. If you are looking for the ideal place to live, and
especially if you are a first time CSU, Chico student, check out
University Housing and
Food Service. Rest assured, the housing staff will be there
with you during the entire housing process to ensure your
housing is an appropriate living environment for first-year
students.

The University Housing and Food Service office also has
excellent resources to help you make your move to local housing
a smooth one. We've even put together an Off

good news is that Chico has a wide variety of affordable houses,
apartments, and even a private residence hall within walking
distance of campus.

Campus Safety
The safety and well being
of our students, faculty, staff and visitors is our paramount
priority. The University Police Department is operational 24
hours a day, 365 days of the year. There is always a police
officer(s) on duty to respond to calls for service.
Additionally, our police officers are trained as first
responders for medical emergencies.

The Chico
Chamber of Commerce is your partner in the community, and we

for Chamber of Commerce and community affairs and events.
Chico Area Recreation District
For 53 years, CARD has
been "helping people play" by providing leisure
activities, both individually and together, for young and old,
all year round. We invite you to browse through the CARD Web
site and discover new opportunities for you, your friends, and
your family.
Chico Enterprise Record
The Chico Enterprise-Record
serves the greater Chico area with a circulation of about
33,000. The E-R is dedicated to providing you, the reader, with
the information you want in a timely manner.
Child Care
The Associated Students
Children's Center at the CSU, Chico campus provides
childcare for the children of our students. Space is
limited, so it is advisable to contact their office well ahead
of time. Valley Oaks Children’s Services is also a good
resource for childcare in the Chico area. Their phone
number is 1-530-895-3572.
There are also a variety of after-school programs for
school aged children offered through the Chico
Area Recreation District (CARD)
Bidwell Park
Bidwell
Park is one of the largest municipal parks in the nation,
and it borders downtown Chico. Many outdoor activities, from
rock climbing to horse back riding, are available in the
university's backyard.
